Acceptance Information

Applicants will need to produce proof of Ontario Secondary Diploma, an out of Province equivalent or have mature student status (18 years of age and out of school for more than a year). International Students requirements are similar.

Students must have the following basic skills before being accepted. If students can not meet our prerequisites upgrades (fast track courses) may be made available as needed.

1) Music Theory. (High School music, Private lessons, Conservatory Grade Two Theory, or a working practical knowledge that can be demonstrated.)

2) Performance training and experience. (Conservatory grade eight music performance, and or a recent history of public live performances.)

3) Vocal ability, qualifications or demonstrated in person.

4) Instrumental Musical competence on an instrument (piano and guitar are preferred but other instruments are accepted depending on level of proficiency.)

5) Our applicants must have a keen desire to succeed as an Artist in the Music and Entertainment World.

International Students

iSTARS is a preferred choice for international students to attend because the student has the ability to attend under 6 months and attend under a visitors visa!

If the student attends all the certifications it would take 48 weeks of instruction. The International student must email us and let us know of their interest to attend our school.

We would then tailor a certification load and training costs for the student as well as provide the student with documents for a visa.
