State of the art labs!
iSTARS labs are always available during school hours when there is no designated class being taught. Presently Mondays and Fridays are generally free time for students to utilize the computer labs for research and assignments and the development of projects.
Labs are to be used for a specific purpose associated with a course and or Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase, Sonar, Ableton, Finale, Basic Final Cut, and other related software plus Composition / Authoring / TV / Film Scores / Video editing / Promotion / Marketing / Book Keeping / Research.
- COMPOSITION WORKSHOPS – Several small classrooms equipped with a variety of instruments for writing and recording of ideas for composition assignments.
- VIDEO – Our stage is monitored with video for immediate feedback in live performance workshops and of course recording for video posted on the Internet.
- STAGE – Our stage is equipped with a full band set up and DJ rig. This includes backline (instruments and amps), a sound system, monitors, and stage lighting and acts as a recording floor for all iSTARS studios . The stage faces an open multipurpose room which can be used as floor space for concerts, additional recording floor space, a lecture hall or several smaller composition classrooms.
- STUDIO – We have a fully equipment state of the art digital studio that utilizes the stage and floor space as a recording floor. It is equipped with an internal Vocal Booth, comfortable classroom with seating for up to fifteen students, and large screens.
- THE VAULT – our location was at one time a bank, leaving us with a one foot thick concrete walled room – ideal for baffling loud drums, guitars or King Kong overdubs.
- COMPUTER CLASSROOM – We have fifteen iMac computers in a comfortable large work space with large screens for instruction and a glass wall of natural light.MUSIC PRODUCTION SUITES – iSTARS has intimate music production suites that are professional state of the art studios designed for instruction on recording, mixing and mastering.LECTURE HALL – Students will enjoy Celebrity visits to glean knowledge directly from outside accredited and successful Industry Professionals.GROUP ASSIGNMENTS – Students will partner with each other in groups of 2 or more on different music and entertainment business assignments. SMALL CLASSROOMS AND WORKSHOPS – Students will also experience in depth intricate instruction in intimate hands-on workshops.STUDENT LOUNGE – iSTARS supplies a kitchen and cosy student lounge.RECEPTION – BOARD ROOM – OFFICES – These facilities are located in the main entrance to our facility. All rooms are well lit with floor to ceiling natural light and add to our open concept, multi-functional design and mood.
